I've had 3 dwarf Angels for quite some time now. A Coral Beauty- usually the most agreesive- if at all; A Rust Angel- usually getting pushed around a little- never a problem; and a Flame A. - usually didn't bother anyone.

Recently I noticed the CB, and Rust fighting with my Flame some.

Yesterday, and today, I noticed the flame with several wounds on him, and he is constantly hounded by the other two.

He's still swimming well, and eating.

Other than my sump, I don't have another tank to put any of them in.
I'm hoping they will mellow out soon, and things will be alright again.
I'd hate to loose the any of them.

Watching some as I type this, I realize the main culprit is the CB Angel, but far the most aggressive. I'm not sure why he has suddenly stepped up his aggression?

I'm sure like most, when they fully mature, they don't like sharing space with similar fish. There are success stories but always a risk putting them together.

    Agreed.

The more I watch, it actually seems to be the once very timid Rust angel, not so much the CB, that he is getting in skirmishes with.

I'm not sure what you can do long term. if the hounding becomes so severe that the rust angel won't let up, try placing some sort of refuge in there for the flame. If I place a net or almost anything new that is man-made in my tank, it takes a while for my fish to build up the courage to approach it. The abused fish normally figures out that this is a safe spot and will hang out there to get a break. i normally have to do this when I add new fish to keep my powder blue from killing it.

What size is the tank? I would never try and put 2 dwarf angels in the same tank under 75 gallons.

    Thanks,

This site only puts your sig on the first post of yours per page.
Somewhere near the top of the list of posts, is my brief description, and a DT video too. It's a 125g.
Soon to be a 180- sitting in my shed currently, waiting for me to build the stand, etc.

i dont think 3 angels of any type could work long term unless the tank is very very large. that is just their nature, to protect their territory. you probably were lucky at first with aggression because they were not fully mature, but as they mature further the situation will only get worse im afraid. i would suggest trading in at least one, 2 angels in your tank would be much more manageable.

    Thanks,
I put my green net in there, left it on one end, so far, so good!

I'll probably have to move it soon, we'll see.
