I also agree that you should leave at least 3 hermits in a 10gal. Just because you can't actually see any "cleaning" they may be doing doesn't mean they aren't doing anything at all. They are very handy for if something dies behind or between live rock that you didn't realize and they can clean it up within an hour or so which will save you a big tank crash. Even if you think they are doing nothing right now, they are handy for the future at least. I would never do a saltwater tank without them, though at times I wish I never had them... hence the love-hate relationship I have with them lol
