    Thanks everyone.

    @frankthetank - I didn't loose entire colonies but I had die off on most colonies. I just fragged off the dead stuff.

    @Rpratt - I use a 6x54w T5HO setup (nothing special, just a cheapo no-name kit with workhorse5 electronic balasts), I use 5xATI bulbs and 1xKZ fiji purple, somewhere in this thread has the exact configuration. It's an overstocked 75 that will hopefully be upgraded soon.

    Thanks guys. The weird thing is that I've had this monti for about 6 years in a 125 DT I sold years back and it grew in large spirals. I asked the new owner for a small frag about ~2 yrs ago and for some reason it's growing straight upward in a conical shape....strange, but I'm waiting to see what's it's going to do in about a month or 2 when there is no more virtical room.

    a few new year pics...the tentacles on my toadstool are not fully extended yet, but it's recovering from the power outage. I didn't think it would take this long. All other corals are back to normal
