been a while since I updated here:

I just recently added a kalk stirrer from Avast Marine. I have 2 part dosers, but after the move and upgrade I sold off a few large colonies so my demand went way down. So I just turned off the 2 part dosers and was just using kalk in my ATO tank. The problem was that I went to 2 400w halides with 4 T5's and so my evaporation was way higher, so my control over the amount of kalk was terrible.

Adding the stirrer will give the control I want. I have it hooked up to a BRS 50ml dosing pump and that is hooked up to my APEX controller. So far so good!

Looks amazing! That green acro has taken center stage it looks like. All the contrasting colors makes the tank looks gorgeous! Great job.

The tank looks fantastic Dowtish. I love the 2 island rockscape with the gap in btwn, it really looks good. I'm doing a similar structure with 72 bowfront I'm setting up right now.. I've always been a big fan of the 2 island look.

The colors look amazing as well. Is that a big green slimer on the right side of your tank there?

Thanks for the comments on the scape. I am really loving these ceramic rocks. Such cool shapes. I literally only have 5 pieces of actual marco rock in the tank. I know my fish are loving the more open scape for sure.

Yes, that is a green slimer. I am going to have to cut it off its base though as I am still dealing with AEFW on a low level. This is the one coral I havent been dipping and they finally got to it.

Sucks about the AEFW. I am dealing with a parameter problem since my return pump went out last week (I was out of town and wife didn't notice). So my params went way out, and zero filtration and top off in DT. As of today I've lost 3 colonies and a couple of frags, including my big Slimer colony.

Glad to see yours is doing well. My LFS is dealing with AEFW right now, and I took some of my acros in for them to keep temporarily and now this. I'll be going FOWLR if I get an infestation...I don't have the time or patience to deal with it.
