Upgrade Halide/Canopy Build

    Lighting install

    More progress today. I installed the sockets and reflectors. Also installed the 2 T-5 reflectors and bulb mounting brackets...This is the time I wish my tank was 24 deep. I cannot find a way to re-use my moonlights. I really like them, but just cant find a good mounting spot, where it wont block some light. Here are some pics.

    Looks great and man that's going to be bright. You might want to invest in a welders mask, IMO!

    Top Trim

    I also purchased my top trim moulding. Sanded, stained, and put a couple of coats of urethane on them. Tomorrow I will start to wire this thing up. I was going to use my old canopy fans, but they are nasty, so I will get some new ones at lunch tomorrow.

    is that painted white on the inside or some sort of an inlay?

    It is Kilz white primer.

    Ok thanks, I was planning to line the inside of mine with a white coating too, just been busy with work and 5 year old and pregnant wife and......well you understand :)

    Lookin good, i'm still following along to see how it looks on the tank.
