Well, I am stuck with a dilema. I have a 55 gal. non drilled tank with 60-70 lbs of lr and 60 lbs of sand. I have 12 corals and 4 fish and the tank has been up and running for 2 months. Well I just purchased a premier series 75 sump with overflow, bioballs, and a sea life systems protein skimmer for $81 on ebay. Last night I went to pick up the sump and while I was there the seller asked if I was interested in purchasing his custom built 65 gal drilled with built in overflow, canopy (fans built in both sides), stand, and all the plumbing for $100. What should I do, buy his tank and sell my current 55, cause there is no way the wife is letting me have 2.

Would I have to get new sand or would I just be able to transfer the water first and dump the sand in after?

Well if it were me I would use new sand...but since your tank is only 2 months old, you could get away with it.

I would put rocks, then sand...then water, so that way your water isn't ridiculously cloudy. BUY that tank!!! BUY IT!! (what a steal!!!)

Sounds like you are getting a sweet deal. Congrats. I would reuse the sand.

Rocks, Sand, Water in that order. pour the water in slowly over the rocks. It will help minimize the cloudiness of the water.

awesome, awesome deal. Dont go over there though and act stupid about it and tell him how astonished you are because its such a great deal, and what not. Just play it cool. If you dont, then he'll reconsider and see just how much more he can get for it elsewhere He'll think hes being cheated out of his money. Not speaking out of experience of the buyers, but because i was the seller in this situation, not the buyer ;) Good luck man, keep us posted
