What would be a good, quiet return pump to replace the stock return pump in a biocube 14?

Doesn't the maxi jet just run in powerhead or wavemaker mode? I don't think they have a return pump mode do they?

All Maxi-jet Pro's can be used as either a utility pump, powerhead,or propeller pump. They also have a line of utility pumps. The only downside to there utility pumps is you can't run a prefilter with them. I used a MJ900 utility pump on my Biocube and was very happy with it. They are quieter then MJ pro's.

Bio cubes have 1 pump and it's the intake/return. Maxi Jet 900 fits perfect in place of the stock pump. I used the MJ 600 on my 8g bio cube.

Yeah, i have a MJ900 and two koralias in my 29g biocube. I have a decent amount of flow in there. If you clean your power heads with a 50/50 mixture of water and white vinegar it will clean all the coraline that might be growing on it and make it almost like brand new. Really helps the performance.
