    Skimmer upgrade?

I have a urchin pro with mag 3. I have nothing to compare it to, so I don't know if it does a good or bad job.

If I were to upgrade, what would be the best value for money out there? Its for a 75g system with corals etc... I am not too worried about money but if it costs 2x as much as that urchin pro I expect 4x more performance

I like the look of c-skim 1200 but its a bit too big for my current sump and no idea if its any good or just looks nice.

    Thanks,
    Ser

How is your tank doing? If everything is fine and there are no issue I would not bother replacing your skimmer. If you still feel you need a new skimmer have you looked at the Octopus line of skimmers that Reef Specialty carries? I've been very happy with my DNW-200.

Thanks, I have recently noticed my nitrates on the rise. I want to get a couple more fish, I only have 4 small ones at the moment, but I may need to pull more out with a better skimmer for my corals.

I have been looking at the msx 160 and the octops extreme 160 they look identical to me, but I can't tell the difference.

MSX and Octo skimmers are both manufactured by the same company, Honya. Vertex as well. They are really good skimmers - good bang for the buck

Here are my standard four skimmers to look at in order of preference for a 75g.

    **PM Bullet-2
    **ETSS 600XR
**AquaC EV-180 (if there is any chance of you going to a 90 or 120 later I would get an EV-240
    **ASM G2

The ASM is related to the Octopus line. Same basic idea, just a little more high end.

Actually from what I have heard, the complete opposite. Quite a few have ran both and the Octo is said to absolutley leave the ASM's in the dust. "Barely even comparable". Just something to consider.
