Well as it stands right now I have a 65g high w/20g sump. Well I came across a brand new 75g long for 75 bucks and a free 37g tall for the sump. I dont have to buy anythign else for this setup besides basic stuff such as pvc and build a custom stand. Going to use my t5ho lights for it and same with skimmer, only gonna buy another k2 to total 3 k2 and goign to run a mag9 return with 2 openings up top. Im goign to buy another 25lbs of key largo rock from marcorocks totaling 90lbs of rock, 65lbs of which are live from my tank now.

    My question is as follows
Since I dont have alot of room, I need suggestions on how to transfer the fish from old tank to new tank. Well im guessing total water transfer from my 65 to the 75 and adding 20g more of fresh saltmix to adjust for the sump and extra 10g up top. My thing is im using brand new fresh out of the bag sand instead of live since I dont want a cycle to start due to LS die off. Is this possible to just do all this and be ok. I know best scenario would be to setup the 75g and cycle it with new LR for 3 months but my wife is only giving me a short window to transfer all this. Let me know what you guys think for how to transfer from my 65g to the 75g setup.

Will most likely have a diatom outbreak when you switch to new sand, but that is no biggie.

Try to keep all you live rock submerged as much as possible.
I used 20 Gal rubbermaid tubs as transfer tanks.
Temps.... Keep an eye on them. I lost several things in my transfer due to heaters not working properly.
