May be changing jobs soon, hence comes an upgrade! LOL
Talked it over with the woman and as of now I am going to keep the 125 and when we get our new house then I have a 300 deep dimension in my sights. So keep that 300 in mind when giving suggestions, because I plan on buying equipment for it that will currently work on my 125.

I think I have everything straight except for skimmer and reactors.

So I need a skimmer. I have little knowlege in skimmers. I have a cheap coralife super skimmer 125 right now. I see a lot of people using reef octopus. I have looked at the 200 pro and that is around $500 which is about what I want to spend. Any other suggestions?

Also... I see lots of people with calc reactors, kalk stirrers, etc.
I would guess phos/carbon would be a good one to start with.
I am also interested in zeovit and my local club uses it quite a bit.
    Just wondering where to start.

I will also probably be buying a new stand and a bigger fixture so I have 3 250w's instead of 2... :)

    Thanks for your help

Looks like you have the general already figured out ;)
I ran an octopus, and loved it. But when it came time for my upgrade, I went to a ASM and I also love that. The deciding factor for me, is that the octopus skimmers have an incredibly large footprint compared to anything else in the same catagories. For instance, I have a 55 gallon sump. A Octopus skimmer that could handle the size of my system would not even fit in a 55. Not even close. So I went ASM. My G4+ has worked wonderfully from day 1, and I have no regrets what so ever choosing it ;)

Hmm.. thanks pack.. love your advice as usual. And something to think about as well because I will probably have a 55 sump since its the only thing that will fit under the 125.
    Will research ASM

edit: Also what do you recommend on the reactor section?

+1 on ASM skimmers, I love mine. I got my used G3 all modded up and for $100 and it skims better than anything I ever could have hoped for. Never has something so nasty in a collection cup brought such a smile to my face.

As for reactors, I use a Kent, which is OK. Two Little Fishes models are inexpensive and I've only heard good things about them. I believe Otty uses Precision Marine reactors, which are spendy, but I'd guess they're worth the money.

I run the Little Fishes 150's. They work just fine. I run one each for phos/carbon.
