Have been thinking about a larger tank. Have a 125 and its in the dining room it is 72x18x22 was thinking of going to a 150 or 180 or maybe a 220. want more space front to back. My real question is how long do I have the new tank up and running before you start moving stuff over. I was thinking like four plus months. when i started the tank I have it was all base rock 150 plus pounds and like 8 pounds live and all new sand no live. I wasn't going to move the sand might seed the new and probably would move the existing live rock and coral over a little at a time just thinking and was looking for some input. thanks as always.

220 sounds cool. you could put a whale in that... ;D just kidding.. but you could have a lot of options with that

35" tall is a beautiful tank to look at, but a royal pain to clean/maintain unless you're 6'6" and have gorilla arms.

For a brief time I had (and have now empty in my garage) a Deep Sea Aquatics 185. It's 60" x 24" tall x 30" front/back. The 30" gives you amazing area to work with to aquascape.

My original build thread on the tank is here:

    I agree here ^.

I like longer tanks, over taller.

Thanks, I guess then it means a taller stand. Want to look into the tank not down at it.
