Upgrade

I'm switching to a fluval canister filter whenever it arrives in the mail. I'm curious if you guys think outflow on the 106 is strong enough that I can take the powerhead out of my 8gallon. The powerhead is a bit strong imo, it's a koralia 240. It's pretty big and all I have is a ocellaris and a clown goby and I feel like the flow is too powerful for them.

Also I shouldn't have a problem with spikes if I use the media from my current filter right?

Last question, I went ahead and ordered a hydor in-line heater. Anybody have any experience with them? I'm excited to get the heater out of my tiny tank.
