Upgrading..Lets talk about a build

ok so i just a call from a guy wanting my 20 gallon i just set up..in return he is giving me a 40 breeder, with a black stand, a brand new reef octopus 100 skimmer, and some powerheads..

its gonna have a 30gallon sump, i wanna do the berlin system..any drawbacks of this, i know a guy just did a build with it on here and loves it..im gonnna use my 250 halide and t5s..

um also i have a hob skimmer/fuge, could i put this on the sump somewhere and have a better filtration as well as a fuge...

its still early, but i wanna make this tank right..im only keeping my 2 clowns, twinspot goby, lawnmower blenny, and orange spot goby for fish..cleaner shrimp, emerald crab....the damsels and pj cardinal are going back to fish store..

what size gph return pump would i need, i would love to just have the return for water flow if thats possible, to make the tank look cleaner..thats it for now, im sure more will be coming up..i want every idea possible..

he said after he though about for a while and he wanted something smaller he could put on a stand right next to his bed in his room and the 40 was too big..he just wants a nem and a pair of clowns..

awwwwhh but that's no fun. ha I will watching your tank along. I am going to be upgrading my ten to a forty gallon too, so my 75 is again pushed back. I was watching son of guns yesterday and I was o snap that's where Saints lives. I am a huge fan of guns. haha I have thirty myself.

 

If you are using a 30 gallon sump the you will want a pump that produces 300gph at 4 foot head.

 

this will enough flow for the whole tank without the need of powerheads..i have them if i need them but i would like to just use the return pump..if i cant do it its no big deal but i want it to be as clean as possible..

 

yeah i watch that show too.. on the episode yesterday, the lsu fire place they went to shoot that remote gun of that tahoe is like 100 yards from my apartment..

 

id probly trade the 40 gallon for a 125 if you could.
