So I'm finally filling my new tank with water at the new house. My other tank is still up and running at my other house. I'm wondering if I need to let this tank cycle or not. I'm planning on using the play sand idea on this tank and bringing over some sand from my running tank. I'll also be bringing my live rock and a good amount of my water. Transport will only be about 10 minutes. Please share some advice with me on the best practices for what I'm trying to do. Thanks all

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
To error on the side of caution I always expect some degree of a cycle. Testing for ammonia and nitrates during the first 2 weeks and having available fresh sw.
Depending on the bio-load of your existing tank you need to consider that the sandbed will take some time to develop, to be able to handle the bio-load.
The LR should be fine and will greatly contribute to the new systems development, but I would not put much weight in the water from the existing system to play a significant role in seeding the new tank.

Congradulations on your new residence and tank. :)
