Get a kit from glass holes and some plumbers putty and read some good threads.I know far more people who drill a perfect set of holes the first time then people who have issues.

I know they say 1600gph, but trust me, they aren't that strong. They spread out the flow. But really, they are not like a hurricane or anything like that. Here is a video I shot and I have them in my tank.

I'd HIGHLY consider listening to ingtar about drilling, you're gonna wish ya did in about 6 months, and as far as flow,
it depends on you're plans for the tank as far corals go.
2X705 hydors is enough, but those JBJ's on a wavemaker placed right will be fine if ya want SPS someday. I have 2X hydor koralia evo 1400's and my return on my 90G,so 3500gph or so, and its just enough IMO, and I don't have SPS

I'm a little confused about the whole drilling thing. I'm not against it, but why exactly would I want to?

You hook it up to a drill and go to town. There are alot of videos and tutorials out there. Now, after its drilled, you can put a threaded bulkhead in there and screw in a standard PVC cap and ignore it, go with your build and research if you want a sump, no worries, only cost you a few bucks. But now that tank is Reef Ready in a very popular size for frag tanks, and if you want to plumb it, it takes a couple hours and you have a sump.

+100, and then you have an area to hide skimmers/reactors etc, and you increase water volume for your tank which adds stability, and then you can add a refrugium to grow pods and chaeto which will feed your tank and help with trates, and also add some rock for more filtration;)

just got the tank and stand. The stand is DIY, and the guy did an awesome job. much nicer than I imagined, and solidly built. The canopy is very basic, just a rectangle with no top or bottom. I think with a few mods it will work out great. Since the top is open we figure we can hang a couple of boards on the inside to hang the light, and a net over the top will make it cat free:) I'm hoping to have it up and running for my birthday, 2/14. Happy birthday to me:)

sounds great! And I'd leave the top mostly open and install a board like you said.

Buy this and wrap the top and down the rear to stop fish from being able to jump too;)
