    That makes sense. I was thinking about doing this, but I wasn't sure what would be better. It's just a matter of opinion, I guess. I'm going to really think about it, because the last thing I want to do is hurt my fish. I would feel horrible!

    I know!! I want lots of fish (but not too many, of course!). Plus, I want some BIG fish. I love my lil' guys, but I want some that get over 2 inches!!

    cool i say go big
    i couldn't because of money and space.

    i just emptied the tank into buckets
    then transfered everything over to the new tank
    i used water from the old tank and some new
    as far as more sand i used dead sand because i didnt want there to be a chance of a cycle.

    Seeing how many people did this is giving me courage! I think I can do it!! If so many people did it, and got through it, it can't be that hard, right?!

    Woohooo I'm excited!! Now hopefully I won't chicken out by early December!

    I think in hind sight I would definitely go with a 6' tank. I'm in love with my 90 but a 6' tank takes a lot of guess work outta which tangs are OK and there would be less worry about territorial disputes.
