Yours has good taste. Mine likes to tote around some nasty GSP. I wish it would tear it all off the rocks for me.

The other day mine found a little 1/4" long piece of 1/4'' air hose that I must have dropped in the tank some time. I had to laugh because I never even knew it was in there.

I've wanted to get an urchin, but haven't been able to find much info about them. Are they docile? I'm guessing they're ok in reef tanks? Is there anything that I should avoid keeping them with?

Most of them do great in a reef. The only one I would recommend is a pin cushion, otherwise known as the tuxedo urchin. There are others that are reef safe, but most of them can get beachball sized which IMO does not belong in most tanks. They will eat coralline algae, but as I've seen it grows twice as fast when being consumed. They shouldn't be kept with some angels and butterflys, because they can flip them and eat at the soft underbelly.

also triggers are expert urchin eaters too, they do munch down on the coralline pretty well, but not enough to seem that it makes any dent in the amount i have

So are they kind of like snails? They eat stuff off the glass? Are shrimp and other invertebrates ok with them?
