    i went to the lfs tonight and bought a black long spine urchin :) then i got called into work on emergency and i wont be home till late hes floating in the tank for now ....he was bagged in about a gallon or 2 of water in a huge bag and will be in the bag for about 6-7 hrs... i hope he will make it :-/ his name is spike btw

    oh man thats lame. It depends on how they packaged him. How much air is in the bag?

    Overnight shipping takes longer than 6-7 hours so if he is packed like he was being shipped he will be fine. I hope he makes it!!

    the bag he is in is about the size of a small garbage bag (2 standard shopping bags ) half water half air

    That sounds like a pretty huge bag. Whenever I get live stock they usually but it in a bag about the size of a 2-liter soda bottle or smaller. I think it will be fine.

    he didnt want it to pop the bag lol or break the spines so he put it in their biggest bag lol and tripple bagged it

    how should i aclimate him just plop him in at this point? or still drip him?
