    This urchin has been in for a month and rarely moves from under this rock. That I can see, is the whites spots him eating it bare? Is it normal for them to stay in one place ?[​IMG]

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    Most urchins are nocturnal. He is most likely venturing out a night and eating the coralline algae or other algaes. If he starts to loose spines you may want to intervene and offer him some sheets of nori at night close to his lair.
