the corals they may walk over which is just like a snail walking over, there rs. but they may knock a frag rock over if it is small enough. i have 2 urchins i like them. go with the short spined ones the long ones get extremely long spines and knock alot of stuff over. my lfs has a black long spined one the size of a basketball. honestly i don't know how it moves in the tank.

If you have REAL THICK gloves, you can give longspines a haircut with a pair of scissors. However, you will regret it if they manage to poke through the gloves. Boy does it sting.

I had one not to long ago and I got rid of it. If your LR and/or corals are not secured, they will bull dose everything. I got tired of putting back all the corals it would push. It has also been said that they like to consume coraline. Food for thought. Luna

I have a pin cushion one and he is very cute. Everyone said I would get rid of him within a month. Ihave had him about 3 now. He is a bulldozer and will pick up anything that is loose to carry around on his back! Here is 2 examples: First is a few mushrooms and rocks on his back! Second is a cup and mushrooms on his back! I was trying to get the mushrooms to attach to rocks in the cup! He has also picked up hermies, snails and anything that isn't attached!

I have a long spined and it stays on the rocks. never seem it on the glass. so far so good as far as it leaving the corals alone. never seen it tip over a rock either. mine's been in my tank for about 2-3 months and is going good. I just saw survivor man(the one with the camera crew) eat an urchin and a cuke on last night's show. gross!!!!!!!!!!!

he used the cuke to treat a skin infection.but theres i think 3 different survivor type shows on now,its easy to mix them up.i loved the stranded in tropics one.the urchin will eat coraline and could poke corals by mistake but other than that they are fine.
