Urchins?

    i don't know if they drop stuff at night i do know they will trade things out, i think my urchins usually only carry the same thing for a day or two then they drop it. so the crab or snail shouldn't starve

    If your urchin picks up a hermit or snail or something you don't want him to have, just take some tongs and pluck it off carefully. I have to take things off mine at least twice a week and he pouts a little, but he is fine. This time, he got into my chaeto and made a camoflauge outfit for himself out of it, so he isn't picking much else up.

    I don't know if the hermits will eventually get free, as I have never allowed mine to stay on long at all. After all, I wouldn't want to be picked up and moved around the country by a huge spiny thing. :)

    I had a tuxedo urchin get ahold of some GSP one time, he roamed around for a few weeks with corals stuck to his back, was pretty funny cause they would still open and act as normal
