I hooked up my AC500 last night to do a wet test run over night.

I woke up this morning and my Sabae Anemone is stuck in the intank tube. He seems to still be responding to touch and shrinks, but is half way in half way out.

    What can I do?

When mine went into my powerhead i switched it off and remove it my shaking the powerhead in the water.

Keep your filter turned off and it might come out by itself, is not then slowly remove it.

Yeah. First thing I did was turn the filter off. It didn't make it all the way up the tube.

I tried to gently shake it off, but no luck.

I have to leave for work in about an hour and will leave the filter off.

I'm hoping it will remove itself, but again, any additional input/advice is greatly appreciated.

aint much you can do, it will hopefully realize it sucks where it currently is and will move on its own, check for foot damage once its out and if it does have a tear find a way to keep critters off it (ideally if you can place it in a transparent cup or something) and your water as clean as possible.

    Update....

Since I had to go to work, I decided to try something...

I remove the entire filter intank tube and put it in a bucket with water from the aquarium. I then put a heater in there and have taken it with me to work.

This way, it is isolated and will have time to remove itself on its own without causing damage to the rest of the aquarium.

    Hopefully this works.

Seems to be working, I think.

Here is a pic of it before I left for work:

Here is a pic of it currently at work:

Seems to be moving slowly out of the tube....As soon as it does (if it does) I'm removing the filter from the bucket so it doesn't get anymore bright ideas.

    That's cool, good work.
...is it practical to put a foam cap on that intake? ...I think they have them in all sizes.
