used sunpod 150watt for 100 bucks?

he said he used it for 6 months, and currently has 14k pheonix bulb in it.
and selling it for 100 bucks, but gotta drive an hour to pick it up. What do you guys think?

 

I would tell him to send you a pic of it when all bulbs are on..Make sure its working and stuff and comes with everything you need.

and says works fully functional, doesnt come with hanging kit, but has legs, also has 6 blue led and 6 white led.

Sounds like a bargain,if it's what you want and will fit your tank I'd make the drive.My sunpod has been running for two years without a problem,they are good quality,ballast runs very cool.The only thing that's been a minor problem is I broke off one of the wingnuts that secure the glass when replacing my bulb,they can become corroded and you have to be careful when removing them.One qustion you might ask,is the fixture onl six months old or did he buy it used? Either way $100 is a good price.

ya he used it around 6 months, good thing is i wont have to buy pheonix bulb lol, since it already has it. How often do MH change their bulbs?

And ya i think it will fit, i have biocube 29 gallon.
Would this support sps and clams?

 

If i had the money, every 6 months, but i dont have the money, so i change mine every year..I have just upgraded..But have done alot of research on them.

 

I've read 9-12 months for the bulb life.On a biocube 29 this should be enough light for anything you want.

I'd say go for it! That's a great price. I wouldn't worry about the price of the bulb. That MH is hard to find and usually sells for a bit more.. I'm still looking for one. LOL It will fit your BioCube.
