I'm planning the flow for my NPS tank that I am working on. I have 4 Vortech MP10wES that I will be incorporating.

My goal is to build a gyre that will swap directions every 6 hours. Finding good information on GYRE is very tough. I don't want to put in a full out divider.. so does anyone have any input on GYRE, how I should arrange the pumps and my live rock?

    *cough powerman cough*

I'm not really sure about how that works, but here's a bump for you :)

I've see people put them to on each side, on high one low, so that it gyre's up .... hold on.

One and Two clockwise and upward flow guiding all detritus to the filtration.

Three and Four counter-clockwise doing the same.

Using your Neptune to can probably do something on timer and incorporating pulse and lagoon mode alternately to keep particles suspended.

Here is the weird part about NPS, I want a very laminar flow. So I'm thinking I may only need to use 2 at a time and then the other two when I want to swap directions. I also think I'll use NTM mode for a bit between each directional swap to get any sediment kicked up.

    Right
    1 and 2 on a timer
    3 and 4 on another

You can do it with your Neptune controller with ES mode too.

I know ;-) And for NTM i would use the two upper back only. Its going to be so cool.
