Someone suggested this as a way to run carbon if I did not want to use a reactor. I have a few questions and would love to hear from someone who has done this.

Do you put the carbon in a media bag then place it in the power filter? Can I run both carbon and other medias like purigen and chemipure?

If you are running it in your sump do have an problem with cheato clogging it?

Mine will be hanging on my sump so I don't mind the bulk. What media filter are you referring to that you ran in addition to carbon? Did you just have the carbon in a media bag?

I used a hob for along time before I got my reactors.... u can run just about any media in it, I wouldn't run biopellets in it bc they will stick together, but I think ud be ok with the medias you listed above

You can put multiple media in the filter. Put the carbon in a meia bag.
