Has anyone ever heard of using Irrigation Soaker Tubing as air diffusers inside an aquarium or pond in place of traditional air stones? There's some mention of it on some web sites from the UK. There's 2 kinds from what I could find, one's a Porus Soaker Tubing in 1/2", 1/4", & 5/8", and a 1/4" Laser Drilled Soaker Hose (drilled every 12"). I would think that it must be the porous tubing. Also, would it have to be fitted with compression fittings just like for irrigation work? And finally, how does it preform as an Air Diffuser, large bubbles or small minute bubbles?
