Using my old reef sand for transfering my tank to 10g

    OKay so anyway i am transfering everything in my 5gallon and upgrading to a 10gallon tank any ideas on what i should do with my livesand that i have in my current running tank? should i transfer it to my 10 gallon build or just junk it the tank is about 7 months old now.

    any help would be nice please :)

    Most junk it to save any possible problems. If you do save it rinse it well in SW.

    and just net all the floating crap off the top of the bucket? :)

    I would at least keep some of it, but just netting crap that floats up should be okay.
