a number of people have done similar Leighton so your GSP should be fine

I used to superglue to mat to pieces of rock and it was always fine
and I believe Peredhil glued some to the back of his tank and it has grown like crazy since

I have also super glue the GSP to a small magnet and then used that on the glass. This makes it relatively easy to relocate or remove. All you need is a razorblade to get the growth off the glass.

Add putting GSP on the back wall to my list of thing I wish I had not done. Pass the light saber please.

I glued mine to a rock and placed it in the sand bed (hopefully it stays on its island). Its starting to get new growth now =D The super glue didn't hurt it.

out of curiosity why? its so much easier to control there than it is on the rocks. I just tanks a razor and cut it then put the razor under it and peel away!

Mine used to reach 1/2 way across the tank but I had some problems and allot of it died of. So I just cut it off and its starting again.

    Well gazog two reasons,

With the current tank set up with the sps I think a solid black back would look better. I not a fussy person when it comes to my tank but I would like the acropora to look good against the back round.

The second reason is that I have heard that it may have some negative affect on sps ( myth) I have no clue. I did try and remove using your method and became very worried about the slime it was releasing into the tank.

To resolve the problem, in the future I am going to empty the tank, scrape the back, throughly rinse the tank with SW. Easy to do with a nano, probably a nightmare in a larger system.
