Using the NeoZeo way?

In the persuit of nice sps colours a friend suggested NeoZeo from brightwells,we cant get zeovit stuff in sa as there is no supplier and if you get its unreliable.
So i started of using just the microbacter and reefbiofuel a few months ago and was pretty impressed with the colour of the corals and water clarity,but replaced the reefbiofuel with a mix of RO water and Vodka

Recently started goign into more of the neozeo way,feeding zooplankto-s every second day
Amino acid - 15 drops every 2nd day.
Stones in the sump
Microbacter once a week
vodka every morning

Curently im running a DSB on my tank and still not convinced i should not have one on my new tank as im planing on running this way in the new cube ive got. Anyone using this without a dsb or thats removed a dsb after switchign to this method. Scarred of not havign a backup for a nitrate spike
