Prime? With a show of hands, how many people are using that?

Chlorine remover?- maybe for top off water from the tap?

you mean you use chlorine remover for your WC's, salt mixed water?

I never have. Early research, and my success thus far has told me that chlorine remover from salt mixed water is totally unnecessary.
The salts in the mix buffer out any effects of the chlorinated tap water.
This was when I was using tap water only for everything.

Now it's all ro/di TDS=0.

My RO/DI on the other hand, should have little if any anyways, and doesn't need it either, Right?

 

I always use prime with my water changes even though I use ro. Its not a must but for tap water holy hell, I hope he's using it. With my tank I use it as it provides slime coat and stress relief for the fish. Plus it cancels out nitrates and with my bio load its necessary. Lol.

 

I never use prime in my Rodi or salt mix.

 

Interesting....I've never used it either. I suppose it couldn't hurt. I know one of the tanks that was in the zetlight contest that was one of the winners actually used tap and prime was the only additive he used. I was quite taken with that information.

Your house system just makes it safe to drink but does nothing for the fish. Get a nice RO from a sponser here, always good prices. Once you start using ro water your tanks will have a huge improvement. Until then keep using conditioners.
