uv and skimmer

    Ok well I added my uv to the tank yesterday and know my skimmer is going nuts. it well not stop wet skimming it well fill the cup in less thin an hour. octu 110 nw
    what do I do about this?

    Well, I can tell you your water column is gaining a lot of intracellular material (nucleic acids, cytosol, lysozymes etc.) secondary to the lysis (eruption) of cellular coating, be it bacters, alga, fungi and the capsids of virions.

    In layman terms, the live free floating stuff has no become dead (what a sterilizer does). Basically, you have a heck of a lot more unbound proteins in the water column, and your skimmer is reacting to the increase in particles.
