    hei guys! just wanted to know... does UV light kill the nitrifying bacterias as well! i have a canister with built in UV light and it contains just live rocks and sponges! will it kill the bacterias in my filter??? just wondering!

    most definitely! good or bad, still bacteria. Canister filters work different most are
    chemically operated, rather than mechanically so you should be ok.
