UV lights

    Well I'm going to start my 135 gallon this weekend, get the cycle going, my question is UV lights off during this period correct, and after up and running with corals should the uv stay on 24-7 ? have heard mixed reviews my uv light is A current usa 40 watt what do you guys think and will sent in the pics as it goes along

    Are you talking about the accintic lights or a uv sterilizer?

    If it's a uv sterilizer you dont want one on a reef tank.
    If your talking about accintics you can run them up to 18hrs/day with your daylight bulbs on for 6-10hrs

    Everyone is going to say something different on daylight runs, I run my lights for 10hrs a day total

    im pretty sure your talking about a uv, you want that on your qt tank
