Oki have a biocube hqi. I decided to replace the stock bulb with a 14000k Phoenix. I have read about a few uv issues people had. I don't see any signs of damage or general discomfort from the corals but I just want to make sure. The fixture has a glass half tube the surrounds the light. Does this provide enough uv protection or should I remove the aluminum diffuser and rep ace it with some tempered glass? I don't even know where I can find glass to fit. What do you guys think?

Don't change the design, it works perfectly as is if nothing is damaged.
