OK for those who do not know I got a new 25 watt UV filter. I also got a new MAG 3 pump from Captive reefs.

Now since there is no room in my sump area I will have to move stuff around and 2 ideas are still up in the air.
    • Move the sponge under the bio balls and put the pump in the open area if room,
    • Put the pump under the bio balls and keep the sponge in place.

For the plumbing I will be using standard PVC 1/2 inch connections with a Rigid 1/2 inch hose connecting to a 1/2 inch PVC adapter connection.

The UV will sit behind the tank and close to the sump.
The 1/2 inch rigid tubing will just bend over the sides of the sump and connect to the pump and either back to the sump or to the tank. (this should be completed soon.)

Any comments are welcome pro or con.

It is up and running with no leaks so far.
temp is steady at 79 degree.
When I installed the UV I cleaned the skimmer and ever since I put the UV on the tank the skimmer is going mad with alot of bubbles. I had to empty the 1/2 gallon jug once yesterday and it was 1/3 full at bed time. Man I forgot to check this morning so hope it is not over flowing by the time I get home today.

I have not done a water change and yes clearer.
When I get home from work I see glass algae every other day or so. I cleaned the glass Saturday and have not had to since but still early.
Temp still around 79 - 80 and notice something but filled the top off bucket Sunday and I had to fill it again Monday. checked the floor for wetness but should not find anything yet. So hoping it is just the weather and humidity here.

Seems I am going through top off water faster now. almost 4 gallons a day since I added UV.
But also after cleaning skimmer it is rocking and have had to empty my 1/2 gallon jug 2 times on Sunday and once Monday and half full today and emptied it again.
Skimmer gunk has a slight green to it and is more water then gunk had to adjust the level down again so it is 3/4 of an inch below where the level is supposed to be. So maybe most of the top off is being wasted by the skimmer.
Had to reset the 2 24 hour timers so the fans would come on more during the day as I am sure if I did not do this the temp would be at 84 or so. Also have a dimmer switch on the fans and had to crank them up alittle more.
