After doing some reading I've decided to go with UVL for my bulbs.

I'm setting up to run a 55Gallon long tank
What set up do you think would be most beneficial for my coarals?

    Auqasun Professional 10,000k x1
    75.25 14,000k x1
    Super Actinic x1
    Actinic White x1

    or

    Auqasun Professional 10,000k x2
    Super Actinic x1
    Actinic White 454nm x1

Sounds like you are using VHO's, is that right?

They make all of those in T5 too. I would say the top combo with one of each bulb. A wide spectrum.

I would suggest other brands of t5s if you have t5 lighting.

T5s really come down to a matter of preference. It is true that most UVL T5 bulbs have lower par than other bulbs, but they do have very high quality phosphors (sp.?) which is really what is important. I have used just UVL bulbs, just Aqua Science bulbs, a combination of ATI and Geisseman and a combination of Geisseman, Aquascience and UVL bulbs, which is what I currently run. Honestly, i didn't notice much, if any of a growth difference between any of the setups (with relatively the same kelvin value), I choose bulbs based purely on aesthetics. I would suggest the following combination.

    UVL Super Actinic
    UVL Actinic White
    UVL Super Actinic
    UVL Actinic White

If you have two 10,000K bulbs in a four bulb setup, it will be very yellowish/white, if you like that, then go for it. If your set on one of the combinations that you posted, I would go with the first one.

The aquasuns are very pink in my opinion. I would only get one.
