    Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. This is my first time here!!! At the present time I do not have an aquarium, so thats why I'm here. I use to live in Daytona Beach back in the 80's and had a saltwater aquarium. Then I moved to the Shenendoa Valley of VA and found I could not afford the fish. I have since moved to the DC area and thinking about setting up another aquarium, are supplies here cheaper or anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

    I have no idea but I live in Kissimmee FL and the prices here do seem to be awesome. I have seen a lot of people on here that buy livestock online because its cheaper. However online prices and lfs prices here are pretty close. LFS is even cheaper most of the time.

    Welcome to 3reef. I lived in Tampa, and the prices were awesome, the livestock healthy. In now in in TN near Nashville and the stores suck and the prices are highway robbery.

    i would buy online but once they add the shipping its just about the same as your lfs price.. atleast at the lfs you can see the fish and actually pick the one you want.

    I'm in East Texas, if you figure shipping and the price for one piece of livestock its about the same. Plus none of the LFS around here will guarantee anything!

    welcome to 3reef, prices suck here, buying online is the way to go. the key is to find a good place, saltwaterfish.com has been excellent everytime i order from them, the fish arrive healthier then the ones i see at the lfs.

    its true you wont beable to pick the exact fish you get, but they make sure to send only healthy specimens, plus you get them younger then what you would find in a store most of the time.
