use the vacation time and money to build something together. possibly a tree house. maybe an old style soap box race car and then go use it.

think of how you spend the time, not the destination.

That's per camp site, because they want to have spaces open for everyone. But there are a TON of camp sites throughout the park - the park is HUGE. So it would be fun staying at different sites anyways.

That's right. The idea is that you basically check in from time to time. It keeps everyone safer.

We don't have a garage so that pretty much means no power tools. We don't have a back yard. :( I get what you mean though.

Time isn't too much of a factor. Dad can pretty much ask for a day off work & he gets it. lol

Seano, where the heck do you live? 1600mls??? I was going to say YOSEMITE Baby!!! You should save for that someday if you really like camping. I took my lazy "too cool" Nephews a coupla years ago & they actually fell in love with the place.
Anyway, how about Canada? Its perfect this time of year & the best Walleye fishing!! Its a hop/skip/jump from where you're at right? They don't have bacon or hashbrowns though....gotta be something wrong with that. No wonder why they lost the war (lol). ;D

haha I live in Northwestern, Ohio.

I would love to go camping. I like adventure(looking into bike camping sometime with friends & winter camping another, & bike touring is cool too, like GOBA). We will maybe save this back-country idea for next summer.

We would need to get passports in order to go to Canada. We were thinking Quebec or Montreal but as I said. I also don't know how long it would take to get one:confused: & they are like $100 a pop. Thanks for ideas though.

People really overlook state parks..In every state i've lived in there have been numerous state parks around all with really nice campsites. I just vote for a weekend camping. Simple, relatively cheap, relaxing. Maybe find one on a river and rent a canoe or something.

Yellowstone is cool. I also really like the Arizona / New Mexico area. I stayed in Roswell, NM this weekend and went through the Jeep trails in the Capitan mountains, and went to Carlsbad Caverns. Absolutely amazing. Lots of places to camp there, too.
