Goin on vacation in a few weeks. I will be right outside of Orlando. Planning on going deep sea fishing at either cocoa beach or daytona beach. Other than that nothing but hanging out. Any aquarium related stuff around to do?

I lived there for about 20 years and I just moved away - thank God :)

Things I would highly recommend that are non-touristy:

    - Visit World Wide Corals. Tough store to find, they are on South Orange Blossom Trail a few miles north of 417. Just be prepared to buy something and have it sent home, they have great stuff. Website: Buy Rare Coral Online, Chalice, LPS, SPS and Soft Corals for Sale

    - Go to the Canaveral National Seashore. It has miles of unspoiled beaches with very few people. If you want to see what the Florida coast looked like 100 years ago, this is the place to go. Additionally there are a number of nature drives where you are likely to see a few alligators, tons of birds and great scenery. You get there by taking the northern bridge at Titusville (Garden Street). You can see the shuttle launch pads very easily from the drive (only a couple miles away).

    - Along with that is, of course, the Kennedy Space Center. Worth going to.

    - If you want a nice dinner out and want to drive a little (30 min from park areas), go to Winter Park (Park Avenue, north of Orlando). My favorite restaurants there are Bosphorus (Turkish, awesome food) and 310 Park South (variety). Park Avenue has a lot of shopping and great restaurants.

    - There are a couple gator farms in the area (Gatorland in Kissimmee and one that I forget the name of that is east of Orlando on highway 50, about half the way to Titusville)
