    I just found out that my girlfriend got us,meaning I have to set up and maintain but she gets to pick out what goes in there ::), a new 48 gallon bow front tank!

    I'm pretty excited to get this thing up and running!

    I will post pics along the way.

    Yeah... So the first direction was that she wants a dwarf fuzzy lionfish. I guess I will be working on that in a few months when the tank is ready for fish!

    In the meantime - I have discovered that the tank doesn't have an overflow built-in so I will need to get an overflow box and plumb that to my sump, which I get to build ;D

    We were discussing lighting last night, since I won't be able to have any corals what would be a good affordable lighting option for a Lionfish and some other scorps?

    I was thinking LED. Any thoughts?

    if no corals I would just go with a T5 light.....led are expensive and relatively new at this point. I like the aqualife fixtures.
