one of my damsels vanished today out of my biocube, and i was unable to find ANY trace of it, is it possible it was eaten by my shrimp and hermit crabs? i have 8 hermits, 1 camel shrimp, and now 1 three stripe damsel...should i even be concerned?

it is probably just under a rock or something. The other stuff will certainly pick at the dead body but probably not big enough to not leave a trace.

Check your levels. You should have a spike if it died and is decaying somewhere in your tank. Also, do you have the top on your tank? some fish like to go carpet surfing, check around the tank and on the floor behind it in case you dont have the lid on.

how large was the damsel? the hermits/ shrimp you have are the only clean up crew? If so, and you feed sparingly, then it might be possible that it died, and your C.U.C. really did its job quickly.

the missing damsel was 2 inches maybe, just a little guy, i do have the cover on. I checked my water this mornign and all was well except nitrates which were at about 15, so im gonna do a water change tonight...

also two hermits have died since yesterday and there are barely any remnants of them left, is it possible they are starving?
