With being sick I have not given it much thought yet. I really like it when the water has a blue look to it. Any suggestions? I am going to replace all the bulbs since the guy had about 1.5 years use on them. As far as the power compact actinics I think that is what I need to focus on for the blue look.

I bought them from a guy who was selling all his stuff from a local reef club. I felt so bad for him he had a 300 gallon tank, chiller, custom made sump/fuge, skimmer and lots of other stuff. The worst part was he was laid off from his construction job and he has a 1 year old daughter. He said by me buying his lights he can now pay his next mortgage payment.

I felt much better today so I finished tearing out the section where the new tank is going.

I have the drywall guy coming over today. I hope this will be done this week so I can do the plumbing next week. Only thing holding me up right now is that my 3 1.5" bulkheads i ordered are on back order. I ordered the Ocean Motion 8-way from Tangster last week so I should have that here next week.

I think I will have water in it with in three weeks if the bulkheads show up!

Change of plans. the drywall guy told me it would be $875.00. I am going to just do it myself. I have done small repairs in the past so I think I can do it for a DIY cost of $50.00.

    lighting

I was doing some reading and for me the 6700k is the way I'm going.

    6700k daylight white= very bright-very yellowish-good for corals
    10000k daylight white=very whitish-not great for corals
    7100k/460nm blue=very bluish-not great for corals
    actinic 03/420nm=very purplish-good for corals

You said you wanted blue so:

    I would say
10000k close to the tank edge
    actinic 03/420nm
    6700k
    7100k/460nm
    6700k
    actinic 03/420nm

That's just want i would do.

    Thanks for reading,
    Mike

Fireplace went to the dump. And I did not pick those colors and the whole room is being repainted with my choice. It will look 100% better!

My 210 is up and running!

Hey Vegasfish, looks like your coming along good. Man you have a lot of work to do with that wall. I'm impressed with your fortitude. Anyway I got my 210 up and running so I thought I'd throw a pic or two at ya for a look see. Keep it up. Yours is going to be a thing of beauty!

    Making progress

I finished the drywall work last weekend and painted the spot this week. I was able to get a few friends to stop by and help me relocate my tank to where it is going. I am still need to paint the yellow walls to a different color but this gives you a good Idea of what is going on. Look at how small the 65 gallon tank looks now:eek:
