I did not think of that. Good idea I'll talk to my LFS today and see if he will do it.

I was able to get half of the Oceans Motion 8-way plumbing done this morning. I am going to try to finish it tonight when I get home from work. I'll try to get pictures out when I finish that part.

I think I might have a small problem with my return pump from the sump. The intake line for the pump is higher than the water level in the sump by 4 to 6 inches. I don't know if it will need to be primed or if it will just pull the water from the sump up to the pump without causing damage. If it is a problem I can lift the sump up if I have to but I would prefer not to.

Yeah, It took me two days with a 75GPD unit. I have about 210 system gallons. It will probably take 3 days for you.
The build project is looking good.

    First water test!

I finished my plumbing today and did a water test. Everything went well with the exception that when I turned of the pumps the closed loop system would push the display tank water into the overflow thus making the display and the tank try to level out. Anyone who has a sump underneath their tank knows what would have happened. So I figured out that I need to place the inlet pipe for the closed loop pump in the display tank and not the overflow.

I am going to pickup another 1.5" bulkhead and place it in the back wall of my tank. I will use a strainer on it but I still am nervous about a fish or something else getting stuck on it. If you have an idea on how to prvent this let me know. After I closed of the valves to the closed loop pump I was able to get the sump and return pump to work like a champ and cut the power with no problems.

Here are a few more pictures of the plumbing now that it is done with the exception of moving the aforementioned pipe.

This is tilted until I get a vibration pad under the pump. Otty and Tangster might recognize this Manifold!

I see you didn't put all individual unions in there, in case you want to do maintenance on the O/M 8-way? I'm not sure if the OM will need an occassional soak in vinegar like your pumps do.
