Thanks! I have had such a roller coaster of emotions with the tank the last 48 hours that I thought I might never get it right but I am now back on track:cheesy:

I know what you mean by having your pumps being louder than you want.
I started with the Mag 24, and maybe it was a bad one from the factory but it was loud as hell. It sounded like a food processor brand new right out of the box. My second pump is not as loud, but still not as quiet as I'd like.
What kind are those 2 pumps you're running?

My acryic tank had some hair line scratches on it when I bought it. Did yours have any. And if so do you plan on buffing them out?

They are reeflo blackfin pumps. One is 3600 and the other is 6000. The 6000 powers the manifold and the 3600 is for the closed loop. I am just glad I moved them before I got to far ahead.

It does have a few scratches that I plan on removing. I have a kit that ATM uses check out their website Acrylic Aquariums Acrylic Fish Tank Fish Tanks Manufacturing . They are based out of LAs Vegas and are a leader in acrylic tank manufacturing. I was lucky enough to actually see their operation and it was amazing.

    Up and running

I moved the pumps outside this weekend. The water test is going good. Here are a few pictures.

Hey love the setup thanks for keeping us informed

Just one question about the pumps. I would love to do the same thing and move the pumps outside to reduce the noise but in NH this is a problem. With your pumps do you think you could insulate that box to make it more sound proof? Or would that cause some heat problems? Thanks for your time! Love your thread and can't wait to see the tank up and running!
