    Nice aquascape vegas,be interesting to see what your water temp runs with the pumps outside in the heat.If the pumps are not hot maybe it won't be an issue.Where'd you get your rock and how many #'s ,I'm about ready for rock and sand after I hopefully get my freshwater test run today.

    I purchased all my rock from craigs list. That saved me a lot of money. I would guess it is 200 to 250 pounds. I purchased the sand from a LFS. You can find it on marine depot if you search for Fiji pink reef sand. The LFS uses the same sand in a 10' x 8' coral tank. It looks really nice and does not stir up easily like sugar sand. Just my own prefrence.

    Think I'm gonna go with white sand, probably look better with the stand and the room is mostly white. My lfs store really stinks,the fish are second hand to their dog grooming business. They have a terrible/limited fish section and not to mention alot higher priced :-/.
