A prawn or two. I already have 70 gallons of water mixed in buckets to help speed up the ro water being made once the new sand arrives today.

I think your doing a great job. Lots of hard work and patience is paying off. You said you got your rock from craigslist, how did you prepare it for your tank? I like your plumbing. Do you own your home?

    Thanks for the reply.
Half bleach and water soaking. then freshwater soaking with a light scrub. then rinse and dry. I do own the house or there is no way I would have ripped out the fireplace and put pipes through the wall!

My sand did not show up today. I was told it will be here on Thursday. I put the 70 gallons of saltwater I made into the fuge and sump. I am making another 70 now. So I hope the sand arrives Thursday so I can put the sand in and this water so I can make more.

I timed the RO / DI and it takes about 10 minutes to make a gallon.

I also thought I would post the below information in an attempt to help others in the future. After all that is what we all do here on 3reef.com.

My lights have 2 halides per fixture which each run a plug to the ballast for a total of four ballasts. What I tried to do was run all the power cords from the ballasts to an extension cord which had a 4 plug end. I then ran the extension cord to the timer and then to the wall.

I don't know why but the lights would run for 20 minutes then the timer would trip the lights and they would shut of. Most likely to much power on one cord.

So I split the ballast two per timer and they run fine now. It only took me several hours of trial and error to pin point the problem. :-[

Thanks for the info vegas, hopefully soon I'll be mounting my lights and now won't run into the same problem. So your lights are not hooked up to the swichboard? I am thinking I may have to go with a bigger breaker once everything is running (4-250watt mh 4-t5,pumps,skimmer w/2 pumps, powerheads, controller ect). How is it looking on your end, had everything running at once with no problems?
