Coming on nicely now Vegas fish,

If you want GSP in there, wait until the Diatom bloom is over, and that will help you avoid using the ASAP section with a "My GSP wont open up fully" post
diatoms tend to block the exit of GSP polyps and although they will survive it, you do get a few weeks of no show or partial show which can be worrying.

Not so much the norm Steve. My GSP opened fully every day from before the appearance of the diatoms in the new tank until this day. Put it in a good flow area, and it will be just fine.

    and after diatoms mostly gone

Not one day when it didn't fully open, even when my clowns are trying to now host it.

Steve i fully understand you. Boogie you too! I am a coral addict with all this room to fill. I sit and look at all the frags my reef club has. I would buy everyone if I did not know better to wait.

I think my GSP could survive a nuclear holocaust.

Hey Vagasfish, I love your tank and aquascape. You did a great job!
Question: I feel stupid asking as I'm supposed to know these things. What are GSP, ASAP, and diatoms? Are diatoms the brown algae on the bottom or the red algae in the sand or something else? I've always known ASAP as "As Soon As Possible" I must be missing something here? LOL;D

You normally will see diatoms on the sand when the tank has cycled and is still new. When I had them it was light brown and mine made air bubbles all over the sand too.

GSP is green star polyps I believe.

I am going to do a new video of the tank in the next week to show the new corals and clams better.
