Hey vegas I just wanted to say that your tank is great and I've been following it for a while even though I just joined. I have a 155 bowfront now but a couple of weeks ago I picked up a 240, so I'm gonna upgrade the 155 to a 240 slowly as I have the extra money lol. Any suggestions or tips?

Thanks to everyone for the kind remarks.

    SB16,

I real think my tank design and function came out well. I made my stand a bit shorter than most stands so that my kids could enjoy it more. That does make it tight to work under the tank but I really don't mind. I really like the closed loop it creates great flow and keeps the look of the tank nice.

One thing I have not posted on my thread yet is that for the last two weeks I have been dosing BSR 2 part. This was one of the best moves I could have made for the tank. It keeps the CA, ALK, MG steady. If you ever have any questions just let me know.

Any heat issues?? I remember you had problems early.. I'm sure you're good now, but what did you end up doing??

Also, did you ever look into topping off with Kalkwasser?

No heat issues. I have two fans blow across the open top. I also put a solor vent fan used for rv's on the box holding the pumps. In these 100+ days it never gets above 80.

No kalk I ended using the bsr two part and it is doing great. I may revist using kalk down the road.

On a side note chuck I'm going to frag my duncan in the next month or so if you want to come by and get one I'll hold it for you.
