    Hey everyone,

I have noticed on a rather large colony of zoas I recently bought that a few of the zoas are still closed. On further inspection I can see that there is a vermetid snail sticking directly out of the center of the closed zoa! Will these zoas ever open or should I consider them goners? They look like healthy closed zoas and they are not rotting but there is a stick with sweeper tenticles sticking right out of the middle. Thoughts?

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You can take a Q-tip and put a dab of super glue gel on the Q-tip remove the frag from the water, pat dry the tip of the vermetid and apply glue to the opening. Even a tiny piece of underwater epoxy will work.

Yes they should eventually open. If you do not want to intervene just let the vermetid do it's thing and only zoanthids will grow to the outer limits of the vermetid's reach.
