Well I did last night and what I saw was very creepy crawlies in my tank.... Bugs really creep me out and I saw some bristleworms and swimming things.................LOLOLOL. Just wondered if I was the only wierd one here. I know I will think twice about picking my LR up again ;D

haha! yea in my dads tank he did the same thing with a flash light and saw a puffy grayish mantis shrimp that looked like it had been mutating under the rock for a few years....and we wondered why the smaller rocks were falling

Every night without exception. It's part of the joy of owning a piece of the reef. Many corals look completely different at night. Bubble corals, trumpets and others exhibit large stringy feeder tentacles that extend inches sometimes.

And yes, the bugs come out at night. Don't let them creep you out! They can't live on dry land so if they were to escape (they'd never voluntarily leave wet for dry), they'd be deader than a fillet 'o fish sandwich.

I keep a flashlight immediately next to my tank for late night, lights-out viewing. I don't think there's a night I haven't checked things out when getting up to get a drink of water, or some other reason.

So no. You're not crazy at all. You're in good company. :)
